Global Peace Foundation –Tanzania with its headquarters in America and having 20 branches worldwide reached a height in its efforts by educating pre-primary school from Crystal Wonderland located in Sinza, Dar es Salaam over the importance of living in peace and preserving harmony in their daily lives.
The visit to the school is part of the organization’s initiative campaign known as “Vijana Na Amani” means ‘Youth and Peace’ which aims to educate and creating awareness to children and youths in safeguarding and preserving Tanzanian peace.
Global Peace Foundation-Tanzania Country Director, Martha Nghambi said they have decided to visit the school noting that a child is a step to being a youth and they need to be taught on how to become peace makers within the community.
According to Nghambi, it is important to create a culture of preparing children to become peace ambassadors before becoming a youth.
She said that the aim of the visit was to build children by educating them on human rights and help them to become more aware of doing acts of kindness so that to become givers of kindness which is very important in their age.
“Regions and race difference should not be used as sources of undermining peace because we are equally in the eyes of God,” she stressed adding that we are on family under God.
She however said the campaign is an ongoing initiative meant for children and youth in the country.
